Hello from the mile high city, Denver Colorado. Over the past 48 hours I was very blessed to spend two days with the leadership of HTG and help paint the picture for our group of technology industry thought leaders for the next year. A lot of great stuff is happening with HTG and we are moving forward in a big way.
I am still shocked about the tremendous growth of our groups. This week coming up will mark the first anniversary of HTG10, the group that I am blessed to support. I am put in a position to support and serve the members of this group, all of them are leaders and it is great to serve a wonderful group of men and women. As their facilitator, I am trusted to ensure that the meetings stay on track, that we have a great material and our sponsors are looked after. Otherwise, the group does all the work.
It is all about servant leadership? I am here to serve the needs of HTG Canada.
I am also blessed to serve on the Board of Directors with HTG. My role is ensure that all the vendors programs are welloiled and also that the PR machine is rocking a rolling. Over the next 6 to 8 months, we will see an increase in activity online with regards to HTG. Everything from Twitter, LinkedIn, Websites, Blogs, Comments and much more. HTG is is a great position to influence the IT channel.
For those who don’t know us, you are probably asking – what is HTG? HTG was formed in 2001 by Arlin Sorensen and brings together over 200 or so of the best IT companies in the world. Currently we have groups of 12 throughout the US, Canada and the UK. HTG is a serious business peer group, there is no screwing around when it comes to what we do. Our members are committed to the growth and success of their business. Healthy bottom lines and relationships are the key to our success.
I am sitting in the B Gates of Denver International Airport, exhausted after 48 hours of meetings. We got lots accomplished over the past two days and now we are all heading back home.
What is next? In two weeks, the Canadian group will be meeting in Mississauga at the Microsoft office. Is your homework done or even started? Now is not the time to wait to the last minute? Why? Simple, when you wait, you rush and the chances of things getting implemented don’t happen. I for one, hate to rush to get things done. I would rather have items done right away or sometimes weeks ahead of time.
Are you a rusher or a planner…?
