I had full plans this Sunday morning to get up early and get caught up on some work stuff prior to going to church however I just couldn’t get myself out of bed. I guess after a week of getting up at 5 AM and hitting the gym with my new personal trainer I just needed that little bit of extra sleep.
The one thing that I have learned over the past few years is to listen to what my body is telling me, if it is telling me that I need to sleep, then sleep it is. Are you listening to what your body is telling you? As I am taking steps to achieve my goal of 225 lbs, which I am about 14 lbs away since my last weigh in, it is very important to pay attention to what the body is saying and how my brain interprets it. Rest and relaxation is very important and it is something that I don’t get enough of.
I guess it is my personality that doesn’t like to sit still. I really struggle with just unplugging and doing nothing. I know that I need to relax however I don’t like to. It is just my personality and usually end up resting by crashing and that occurred yesterday afternoon. A Saturday afternoon nap and then sleeping in on Sunday morning.
I have some things that I must get done today including a very intense workout, need to keep the momentum going from my workouts and get another blog setup for a client.
