What are your plans for 2008 is a question I am seeing or hearing alot these days as we approach the end of the year. Why is it in human nature to reflect back at this time of the year on things we have done the previous year? I even did it myself on Christmas day!
I am a continious reader, not a good reader, just a constant reader…I read a number of books on motivation (need to as I ramp up my mentoring business), business books, faith books and a number of others…really looking forward to reading the Elvis Presley Gospel book soon. Thanks to my good friends Brad and Pat for introducing Jesus in writing this year.
The world is waiting and anticipating for what you are going to do next. Don’t wait to set some new year’s resolution that you won’t follow anyways. This is how unmotivated people give themselves a sense of quick motivation for all of 4 hours or 4 days…how many people do you know quit smoking on new year’s eve to start again on new years’s day. Take action now is my motto. For example, I quit drinking on July 15, 2007 because of a health challenge. I didn’t wait to new year’s to do that, needed to take action now.
The world is waiting for you to do something new, to lead, to take charge…just what that is, only you will know. What have you been waiting on doing that you know that you should have done a while ago. I can think of a few things in my own life!
