My connection to my office is trying my patience this morning. I want to get some information out to my team on a significant win for us with one of our small business clients. With the assistance of my great friends and colleagues at Heartland Technology Groups we worked on a Microsoft Windows SharePoint Starter site that provides small business with a great stepping off point for Windows SharePoint. Of course, I want to share the news and my connection is not co-operating with me. So rather than force the point, I decided just to move on to something else. Write in my blog!
I am going to see a new colleague this morning from Red Deer. Eric and I met at the Massive Technology Show last month in Edmonton and I need to follow up with him on some SonicWALL items. So I will be off in just a few minutes for a 8 AM meeting at his office in Red Deer.
So instead of getting fustrated at the poor performance of my computer, I just switched my attention to something else. How often do you keep at something when it is not working properly before you blow up and get fustrated with it? Many times we keep hammering away at things when taking a break from it and coming back once you cool off a bit leads to a faster resolution.
Are you willing to step back, take a deep breath and refocus your attention when cooler heads allow you to think positively. I did, and my challenges have been resolved.
