What a long day yesterday, and God with me every step of the way. Having such a long travel day was tiring and even through some of the delays I remained cool because I know that I was being guided to my finally destination. We had a wonderful flight from Tampa to Phoenix. The pilot got us in 1/2 hour earlier which provided me with some great time just to sit back and relax before boarding another flight. The SouthWest part of the US is beautiful from the air, flying over Texas, New Mexico and Arizona is truly fantastic. A great indication that God’s powers are at work. The people at US Airways were awesome, I will fly with them again.
I linked up with my good friend Lindsay Smith when I arrived in Edmonton. Lindsay is the President and CEO of Massive Technologies. Her company puts on IT focused small business tradeshows called Massive Technology Shows across Canada and she is also involved with another friend Mike Agerbo on a show called Get Connected. It is on Business Network News, my goal for this year is come on board with them as a small business IT expert.
I continue to read “The Power of Focus” by Jack Canfield and others, I am almost done. The latest learnings from this book includes lessons about confidence. I am speaking today to a group of people that I have never met before, I am totally pumped about this opportunity. I have the confidence just to get up a do it. It is truly amazing. All persistence is another key learning here. Never give up. Do you hear me? Never give up. Life is meant to be hard, and when you do hard things, you grow inside. Anyone can do the easy things, real leaders take the hard items head on and smash through them.
